Biography
Jonathan Capone is a Los Angeles–based photographer, interdisciplinary artist, and educator. Working across photography, video, sculpture, software, and digital fabrication, his practice examines how images and technologies shape what becomes visible, valued, or overlooked. His projects draw from public spaces, commercial landscapes, popular imagery, scientific data, and environmental systems, often using observation, reconstruction, and computational processes to reconsider familiar subjects.
Capone grew up in New York and holds a BA in Film and Integrated Arts from Bard College. His work has been exhibited at Lois Lambert Gallery and the Chaffee Art Center. Alongside his art practice, he teaches through hands-on, inquiry-driven approaches that bring together art, science, technology, and design.
